Anjelica Harris is an Associate Attorney at Shane Phelps Law, where she focuses exclusively on criminal defense and Title IX litigation. With a rich background in both prosecution and advocacy, Anjelica brings a balanced and strategic perspective to each case, fiercely protecting the rights of her clients throughout the legal process.

Anjelica earned her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2020, where she distinguished herself as Associate Managing Editor and Articles Editor of the Texas A&M Law Review.

While in law school, Anjelica gained invaluable experience through internships with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, and as a law clerk for Judge Bob McCoy. She was also a student member of the Innocence Project of Texas, where she worked on wrongful conviction investigations, and completed a post-bar internship with the Travis County Attorney’s Office.

Before joining Shane Phelps Law, Anjelica served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office from 2020 to 2024, and later with the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases and gained extensive trial experience.

Anjelica graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in English and History. Prior to her legal career, she worked in elementary education and with the United Way of Tarrant County, where she developed her passion for advocacy and public service.

Known for her thorough case preparation, strong courtroom presence, and commitment to justice, Anjelica is a tireless advocate for her clients and a valued member of the Shane Phelps Law team.

Personal Life

When she’s not in the courtroom, Anjelica enjoys unwinding with a great podcast, whether it’s comedy, investigative journalism, or a gripping true crime series. She’s also an avid hiker who loves spending time outdoors and exploring Texas’s scenic trails. A true crime enthusiast at heart, Anjelica also enjoys diving into books and documentaries that explore the complexities of the justice system. And Pickleball; Anjelica loves to play Pickleball.
