Aaron Kleinschmidt comes to Shane Phelps Law. with an exceptional background. Aaron graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a bachelor of science degree in genetics. As an Aggie student, Aaron immersed himself in high-level genetics and biochemistry research while pursuing his degree.

After graduating from Texas A&M with a bachelor of science degree in genetics, Aaron attended law school at The University of Texas School of Law, one of the top law schools in the country. After receiving his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree and passing the Texas bar exam, Aaron went to work as a prosecutor for the Washington County Attorney’s Office in Brenham, Texas.

During his years as a prosecutor, Aaron distinguished himself as an accomplished trial lawyer trying numerous jury trials to verdict successfully. Aaron has handled all types of cases such as assaultDWIdrug offensessexual assault, and theft.

While serving as a prosecutor in Washington County, Aaron was elected president of the Washington County Bar Association and was the city prosecutor for the City of Burton. As a prosecutor, Aaron has worked with law enforcement and knows well how criminal cases are investigated and prosecuted which gives him a significant edge as a criminal defense attorney.

Aaron has become a tremendous asset to the clients of Shane Phelps Law. His accomplished science background sets him apart from other criminal defense attorneys. Personal Life

Of all of Aaron’s accomplishments, he is most proud of his family. Aaron is married to Sarah, a fourth-grade elementary teacher with the Lexington Independent School District, and is a travel agent specializing in Disney vacations. Aaron and Sarah have two young sons, Ryan and Grant. Aaron’s experience as a father drives his determination to help young students at A&M and Blinn College overcome their mistakes to move forward with successful and happy lives. Aaron zealously represents students in trouble in both criminal cases and in student conduct hearings.
