WHAT ARE THE PENALTIES FOR EMBEZZLEMENT?

- Between $1,500 to $20,000 – State jail felony, punishable by a maximum jail sentence of two years.
- Between $20,000 to $100,000 – Third-degree felony, punishable by a prison sentence ranging from two to 10 years.
- Between $100,000 to $200,000 – Second-degree felony, punishable by a prison sentence ranging from two to 20 years.
- Over $200,000 – First-degree felony, punishable by a prison sentence ranging from five to 99 years.
